Delicious, Alkalizing Mint Lemonade
My teenage boys are very resistant to eating much of anything green, or to trying a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. But they love this green lemonade and have never asked why it’s green but if they did I’d tell them it’s because of the mint. The flavor alone won them over and because of that I can sneak nutritious greens into their diet. Amazingly, you do not taste the kale at all. This recipe is suitable for normal people, Vegans, Vegetarians, alkalizers, and raw fooders.
- 4 lemons
- ½ bunch Kale
- 1 bunch mint
- ¼ cup agave nectar or dates
- ¼ tsp. Sea salt
- 6-7 cups alkaline ionized water
Juice lemons. Add juice, clean kale with stems, clean mint with stems and all other ingredients into blender and liquefy. Strain. Enjoy.
Basil Berry Slush
- 5 strawberries
- 2 fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 glass alkaline ionized water
- 8 drops stevia or 1 tsp. agave nectar
Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy. Makes one 16 oz glass.
Take a good natural apple cider vinegar (most vinegars have additives) from a health food store or a Korean market.
- 1 cup hot alkaline ionized water
- 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (you can adjust to taste, 1 tsp is a starting point)
- Honey or agave nectar
In the hot cup of water add the apple cider vinegar and then add honey or agave nectar to taste

I’ve never been a breakfast eater. Formerly, as soon as I would eat anything, I would become so sleepy that I couldn’t function, so I would delay eating anything until about 3 p.m. It’s a little known fact that if you eat less than three meals a day, your body won’t lose weight unless you are literally starving because it thinks you are starving.
So I now start my day with either fresh-juiced green drink from a mixture of wheatgrass and other green vegetables or this wonderful smoothie. Within four days of this regimen, I began to feel more energy and I no longer have the energy crash when I eat.
Blueberries are full of antioxidants, which destroy free radicals in your body.
Kale is full of nutrient rich, energizing chlorophyll. In this recipe, you can omit the kale if you wish, but truthfully you will hardly taste it if you are brave enough to try.
- 3 cups alkaline ionized water

- ½ cup pitted dates
- 1 vanilla bean whole, or ½ tsp. Vanilla extract, or 1 dropper vanilla Stevia and omit the dates
Place water and kale in blender and liquefy. Strain the green fiber from the water and return the water to the blender. (I compost the fiber in my garden.) Place the rest of the ingredients in blender and blend. This will make 3 or 4 smoothies. I buy the tea by Pom for its container, which is a great reusable drinking glass with a snap on lid. I save those and put any extra smoothies in them. They will save for about 3 days and all I have to do is shake them up and enjoy.

Fruit Scone Cereal
- 1 cup Pecans or Almonds
- 2 cups Golden Flaxseeds, coarsely ground
- 2 Apples , grated in food processor
- ¼ cup mixed dried fruit of your choice
- ¼ cup Raisins
- ¼ cup Coconut, shredded
- ¼ tbs. Orange peel, shredded
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon, ground
Run nuts through food processor with S blade, then dump in large bowl. Run fruit and apples through food processor fitted with grater. Mix all in bowl and lay on a cookie sheet or food dehydrator tray. Dehydrate for 6-8 hours at 105 degrees or in oven at lowest setting with the oven door slightly open. Store in a plastic baggie and eat dry or with almond or rice milk.
* Healthy Avocado Wrap
I had only eaten one avocado in my life and didn’t care for the bland taste. But when I found out that they are very alkalizing to the body and have up to 15 grams of protein I decided to give them a second try.
Here is a wrap recipe that I made up along with some variations for a quick, healthy, high protein, lunch or snack. This recipe will work for vegetarians, vegans and most raw fooders.
- 1 tortilla (I use sprouted grain tortillas from the health food store.)
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 tbs humus or pesto
- 2 or 3 strips of red bell pepper or 1 slice of tomato
- pinch salt or Roasted Garlic & Bell Pepper Seasoning Blend by McCormick
Warm tortilla, spread humus or pesto, slice and ad avocado, sprinkle with spices of your choice, add red bell pepper or tomato slice. I usually cut the tomato slice into two halves as it fits better when you roll it up. Fold bottom of tortilla 1/4 of the way up. Fold over the left side 1/4 or so toward the center then roll it up like a burrito. Enjoy.
Consider adding sprouts for a variation.
* Cajun Creole Raw Chili Recipe
* Tortilla Soup
Cajun Creole Raw Chili
- 6-8 servings
- 3 cups tomatoes, blended or 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cups lentils, sprouted in high pH alkaline water
- 2 carrots, grated
- Juice of one lemon or lime
- ½ red bell pepper chopped
- ½ cup white onion chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- pinch cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients and let marinate several hours or over night in the refrigeration before serving cold.
Makes four servings
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1 cup corn kernels, cut from cob ß Can be omitted if you wish
- ½ red bell pepper, chopped
- ½ cup tomatoes, diced
- ½ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ jalapeno pepper, chopped, seeds removed
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Tortilla strips for garnish
Warm vegetable broth in pan on very low heat. Add everything else and garnish with tortilla strips. Enjoy before it cools.
* Chocolate Mint Cookies
* Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies
Chocolate Mint Cookies
- 1 1/2 cups raw almonds
- 1 cup dates or chopped dates
- 3 tbs. raw chocolate powder – set 1 tbs. aside
- 5 springs of mint leaves stems removed
- 3 tbs. Ionized water
Process until it sticks together and rolls into a big a big ball in the food processor. Takes about 2-3 minutes.
Pinch off small pieces and roll into small balls, roll in reserved raw chocolate powder, press flat. Eat or refrigerate. Makes 26 cookies
Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies
Super quick to make. About 15 minutes total.
- 1 ½ cup raw almonds
- 1 cup dried, pitted tart cherries—Available in most grocery stores
- 2 tbs. Ionized water
- 2 tbs. Agave nectar—a low glycemic sweetener available in health food stores
- ¼ tsp. Vanilla extract
- 2tsb. Raw Chocolate Powder Reserve for rolling dough in. (available in health food stores)
Run ingredients through a food processor fitted with and “S” blade until oil is released in nuts and dough holds together. Roll into small balls, roll in raw chocolate powder. Flatten. Eat or store in fridge until you want to eat them.
Cookbooks with recipes I love. Many recipes are alkaline but not every one.
The pH Miracle by Dr. Young has many hardcore alkaline recipes for people struggling with major illness like cancer, but his book is more of a teaching book on why to eat alkaline and drink alkaline water.
